Team FireBug Wins Round 4 of OZ Rock!

Round 4 of OzRock was held this past weekend in Walbundrie (NSW), and Team FireBug backed up our Round 2 win at Walbundrie earlier in the year with another win!
16 top class teams at this event, and some awesome driving. I really enjoyed this event just for the driving I managed to see between driving our courses! All the top teams in Australia were there and all were firing. This was not a run away victory weekend like our last win at Walbundrie… it was a close battle from the first to the very last course.
We fought hard on day 1, and managed to finish the day in equal 1st place with Pete from OPW, and Adrian from Rock Solid Racing only 10 points behind us. We cleaned up our act on Sunday and managed to pull ahead a bit… by the end of the day we were 14 points up on Adrian and 28 points up on Pete. After a crazy top 4 shoot out where every competitor either rolled (hard) or broke something, we finished the day on top.
We were leading the Oz Rock series points before this round, so this win gives us more of a buffer as we head towards the finals on Dec 1/2 in Lara (close to Melbourne). Zach is off overseas for a while, so I will be breaking in a new spotter at the next round. Hope to see some of you there!
